EARLY CHILDHOOD INSTRUCTOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Suzuki-Orff is seeking an Early childhood instructor to join our acclaimed faculty. S/he will serve as an integral member of our program team. Responsibilities include:
* Teach specified 30-45 minute curriculum in our outreach programs
* Teach specified 45-60 minute curriculum on-site
* Work with children ages 6 months to 5 years
* Attend monthly faculty and curriculum meetings
* Attend 2 annual special events

QUALIFICATIONS
* One or more years of experience in teaching early childhood preferred
* Appreciation for the importance of music education and its ability to enhance the lives of children and their families
* Willingness to embrace parent participation and empowerment
* Ability to work collaboratively with Suzuki-Orff faculty and management staff
* Exceptional teaching and interpersonal skills
Appreciation and knowledge of Orff Schulwerk a plus

STATUS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Part-time, hourly position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Access to rehearsal space. Some flexibility in class scheduling. We provide a stimulating and creative work environment that values family, diversity, and employee initiative.


ORFF INSTRUCTOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Suzuki-Orff is seeking an ORFF instructor to join our acclaimed on-site faculty. S/he will serve as an integral member of our program team. Responsibilities include:
* Provide weekly 30-minute Orff classes for ages 5 years to 11 years on-site
* Provide weekly 30-45 minute Orff classes in grades K-6 in our outreach programs
* Attend monthly faculty and curriculum meetings
* Participate in the integration of Orff methodology and components with Suzuki curriculum

QUALIFICATIONS
* B.A. or B.M. or B.M.E.
* Level 1 Orff certification
* One or more years of teaching experience preferred
* Appreciation for the importance of music education and its ability to enhance the lives of children and their families
* Willingness to embrace parent participation and empowerment
* Ability to work collaboratively with Suzuki-Orff faculty and management staff
* Exceptional teaching and interpersonal skills
* Appreciation and knowledge of the Suzuki method a plus
