PIANO INSTRUCTOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Suzuki-Orff is seeking a PIANO instructor to join our acclaimed on-site faculty. S/he will serve as an integral member of our program team. Responsibilities include:

* Provide weekly private Suzuki piano lessons for ages 5 years to adult
* Attend faculty and curriculum meetings
* Participate in the integration of Orff methodology and components with Suzuki curriculum
* Attend student recitals

QUALIFICATIONS
* B.A. or B.M. in piano performance or B.S. or B.M.E. with piano concentration
* Book 1A and 1B Suzuki certification
* One or more years of experience in teaching piano
* Appreciation for the importance of music education and its ability to enhance the lives of children and their families
* Willingness to embrace parent participation and empowerment
* Ability to work collaboratively with Suzuki-Orff faculty and management staff
* Exceptional teaching and interpersonal skills

STATUS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Part-time, hourly position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Access to rehearsal space. Some flexibility in class scheduling. We provide a stimulating and creative work environment that values family, diversity, and employee initiative.


VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Suzuki-Orff is seeking a violin instructor to join our acclaimed on-site faculty. S/he will serve as an integral member of our program team. Responsibilities include:

* Provide weekly private Suzuki violin lessons for ages 5 years to adult
* Teach weekly group violin classes
* Attend monthly faculty and curriculum meetings
* Participate in the integration of Orff methodology and components with Suzuki curriculum
* Attend student recitals

QUALIFICATIONS
* B.A. or B.M. in violin performance or B.M.E. with violin concentration
* Book 1A and 1B Suzuki certification
* One or more years of experience in teaching violin
* Appreciation for the importance of music education and its ability to enhance the lives of children and their families
