SUZUKI
INSTRUMENTAL INSTRUCTION
The Suzuki-Orff School for Young Musicians offers instruction
in violin, viola, cello, guitar, flute, piano, and voice.
The Suzuki
method employs the “mother tongue” approach – a
child can attain music skills the way she learns to speak – through
exposure, imitation, and encouragement. Parental participation
and support – in lessons, practice at home, and daily listening
to recordings of their repertoire – are cornerstones of the
Suzuki method and essential to its success.
Weekly instruction
consists of a private lesson and group instrumental class, as well
as an Orff class.
